As a columnist and blogger for over ten years. I’ve written two lifestyle books as well as two children’s e-books — and I design Gratitude Journals and Workbooks.
The word Sundara is drawn from the Sanskrit word meaning beautiful, interpreted as inner beauty flowing from grace & wisdom. I began to express my love of yoga through jewelry design in 2010. Sitting down in my studio to create a new piece is a form of meditation. When a serious injury in 2011 left me unable to teach, jewelry design became a way to pass the time and to try to forget about the pain. I studied the healing properties of gemstones and began to delve into this artistic medium as a way to stay connected to the yoga community and to my practice. As my injuries healed, I discovered a deep love of creating what I now call “Hip & Holy Bling.”
To obtain my Yoga and Meditation certifications, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training at Satya Yoga Center in Rhinebeck, NY and my Corporate Yoga Teacher Training at the Omega Institute of Holistic Studies. My Restorative Yoga Teacher Training was at Hudson River Yoga. YOGA remains a very special part of my life and I am honored to share it through my teaching.
At Boston University I studied Psychology and Education, and I hold a B.A. in Education from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. I have professional experience in writing, membership and marketing, PR, Yoga & Meditation.
